NSO Summer Music Institute 2026

This summer, Julia participated in the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute in Washington, DC, where she spent time developing her artistry through chamber music, rehearsal, and performance. The highlights below share a glimpse of her experience at NSO SMI.

Claude Debussy: Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp

June 19, 2026 - Julia performed on harp in Claude Debussy’s Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp at the MillenniumStage as part of NSO SMI. She was joined by William Garrity of New York on flute and Naiomy Jimenez of PuertoRico on viola in this beautiful chamber music performance.

NSO SMI Orchestra Concert

June 21, 2026 - Julia performed with the NSO SMI orchestra in a concert opening with Carlos Simon’s Festive Fanfare and Overture. The full program included works by Charles Griffes, Aaron Copland, and DmitriShostakovich, with additional repertoire to be shared if available later.
